About us

The Annual Vietnamese-American Scholastic Achievement Awards Committee was established in 1988 and has been a continuing effort spearheaded by different community organizations at various times. The Committee has received support from prominent educators, successful business people, active Vietnamese Student Associations from surrounding colleges, caring parents, students, and the Vietnamese - American community in the greater Sacramento area. Historically, the Committee has awarded hundreds of Vietnamese-American students from first to twelfth grade with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 and higher. The Committee hopes to motivate students to excel in their academic pursuit to become future leaders. In this effort, we are creating various scholarship opportunities to empower our future generations in the areas of education, community service, leadership and civic engagement.
